Privileges and Restrictions for Teens
In the Fitness Center:
Teens between the ages of 13 and 16 may use the Fitness Center
only after they have completed a one hour Safety & Etiquette class and signed our Code of Conduct. Classes will be offered one Sunday each month. The class is taught by one of our Certified Personal Trainers. Please call Laura Schnur at 462-9800 ext. 122 to make an appointment. Fee is $5 per person.
In the two gymnasiums:
Teens will not be permitted in the gyms on Sunday mornings
from 8:30 - 11:00 am, and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 - 8:00
pm. Teens are welcome in the gyms all other times.
Indoor Track
The most commonly asked question regarding the track: “How
many times around is a mile?” The answer is: 10 times
around is a mile! The track is open the same hours as the
rest of the facility. Please wear only sneakers or rubber
soles while on the track. When you run, please use the lane
closest to the railing. When you walk, please use the lane
closest to the wall.
Safety Rules for the Track:
1) No children under the age of 8 years old are permitted
on the track. Children between the ages of 8 and 12 must be
accompanied by an adult at all times.
2) No strollers on the track
3) You must walk, jog or run in single file. We know it is
nicer to have a friend next to you when you’re on the
track but please be considerate of others by not compromising
their safety as well as your own while up on the track.
Safety Rules for the Sauna, Steam Room and Whirlpool:
1) You must be 16 years of age or older to use these facilities.
2) Use common sense: extreme heat and humidity may cause light
headedness and dizziness. Please limit your time to under
10 minutes.
3) Please do not use the Sauna, Steam Room or Whirlpool if
you have a medical condition which might be exacerbated by
time spent in extreme heat.
