Men’s Basketball

Men’s 30+ basketball league will be offered on Sunday evenings. Games will be played at Ward Melville High School in East Setauket. League is eight games, plus playoffs. All games include referees, scorekeepers, and timers.

Jewish Experience for Senior Adults

A day of Jewish learning and entertainment held in the ballroom of the North Shore Jewish Center. An ongoing series of cultural and educational events…music, lectures, humor, and Jewish identity. The programs are scheduled on Thursdays from 10:30 am - 1:30 pm including a kosher lunch, dessert, and tea.

J.E.T.S. - “Jewish Experience Trip Series”

Join us for trips to various sites of Jewish interest. Possible trips include Queens Theatre in the Park, Folksbiene Yiddish Theater, Jewish Museum, Ellis Island, etc. These trips will be scheduled throughout the year on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

T.A.S.C. Teen Action Service Corps

TASC is an award winning Jewish teen leadership program for grades 9–12. The program combines volunteer service with leadership training. Every teenager accepted into the TASC 1 program will receive a volunteer placement for the year. Volunteer placements include Kid’s Place after-school program, Emunah, the JCC’s special needs after-school program, gym and theater programs and the Gurwin Jewish Geriatric Center.

Every teenager accepted into the TASC 2 program will participate in local community service projects along with Mitzvah Projects ranging from volunteering at a children’s hospital to food delivery to homebound seniors. Monthly meetings provide the TASC members with valuable leadership training, an opportunity to talk about Jewish events and multicultural issues, and an opportunity to celebrate Jewish holidays.
