Partnership 2000 addresses the specific need for strengthening the bond between the American Jewish society and Israel, through educational and cultural exchange. The need for increased understanding and mutual respect is paramount to strengthening future Israeli/American community relations and development.

The program is designed so that many layers of the community can be involved and that each level of involvement is in fact an essential component of the program. It is our hope that all of Long Island will be connected to Jerusalem through various means; the JCC-Matnas connection, the school to school connection, synagogue to synagogue connection and/or family to family connection.

The different facets of the program blend so that participants feel connected to its entirety. The program also helps connect local schools with their JCC’s and synagogues furthering the benefits of Partnership 2000. This person to person link helps to foster strong communal bonds and long lasting meaningful relationships.
