PRE-SCHOOL CLASSES

Nursery School - For 3 & 4 Year Olds

The Suffolk Y JCC Nursery School is a carefully planned program designed to meet the needs of three and four year old children. Activities include: music, dance, arts & crafts, gym, swimming, the Weinberg Biblical Playground and the Long Island Jewish Discovery Museum. The observance of Jewish customs and holidays form an integral part of the program. Our staff is composed of experienced certified teachers and assistants.
Family membership required for nursery school.

After School Classes for Pre Schoolers

The Suffolk Y JCC now offers a different sport for every day of the week and three different styles of dance for children ages 3–5 years old. If you send your child to pre-school or day care at the JCC, please note the following:

Younger children who are dismissed at 2:00 pm will be picked up from their classrooms by Fitness & Sports staff and brought directly to the gym or dance studio. Children who are dismissed at 2:30 pm will be picked up from their classrooms by Fitness & Sports staff and brought to “Snack & Relax” in room #24 for 30 minutes. From there they will be taken to their 3:05 class in either the gym or dance studio.

For a complete list of classes offered including beginning and ending dates as well as dates on which classes do not meet, please refer to the "Schedule of Classes" provided in the pre-school section of the program guide. You may also pick up children and adult schedules from the Fitness & Sports Dept.

The Judy Lazar Parenting Center is dedicated in memory of Judy Lazar, past president and dedicated, courageous leader of the Suffolk Y JCC. Judy's caring and loving commitment to the JCC and all its constitutuents personified the qualities we strive for as parents and enriched the lives of those she met. Judy touched our hearts and is deeply missed.
