Fees

All fees are due with registration and are for one session only, unless otherwise specified.

Registration

Registration may be made in person, using cash, check or VISA, MASTER CARD, DISCOVER CARD, or AMERICAN EXPRESS. Registration is available by phone only if paid by VISA, MASTER CARD, DISCOVER CARD, or AMERICAN EXPRESS. Registration by mail is also available using check, VISA, MASTER CARD, DISCOVER CARD, or AMERICAN EXPRESS. The registration form must accompany any mail-in registration.

Cancellation of Clubs and Classes

All sessions are subject to minimum enrollment. The JCC reserves the right to cancel sessions where a minimum is not achieved. In the event that a class is cancelled, all fees will be returned.

There is a maximum capacity for all clubs and classes. Where registration exceeds capacity, every effort will be made to form additional groups.

The JCC is responsible for make-up classes only in the event of cancellation due to the absence of an instructor or if sessions are cancelled due to building closings or weather conditions.

Membership renewal

Membership renewal may be done in person, or by mail, or by phone. Payment may be made by cash, check, or credit card.

Refunds

MEMBERSHIP FEES AND THE BUILDING FUND ASSESSMENT ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.
All requests for program refunds must be submitted in writing no later than two (2) working days before class or program begins. There is an administration charge of 25% of the fee (minimum $5). NO REFUNDS after this date. For Holiday Programs — a refund (less administrative fee) will be made only if registrant can be replaced from JCC waiting list. A doctor’s note is required. The request must be submitted in writing at least (2) working days before class or program is held. The policy does not include Nursery School, Camp, Cultural Arts events or any other program where a special refund policy is indicated.

Insurance

Medical expenses incurred for injuries at the JCC resulting from an accident during athletic activities must first be submitted to your private medical insurance carrier for reimbursement. New York State law requires that you make medical claims against your own insurance company if any member of your family is injured while riding in a JCC bus for a JCC program.

Guest Policy

Each members' account (with the exception of Teen and College categories) will be credited with (3) free guest visits upon payment of your yearly dues and building fund. You may redeem your free guest visit at the Front Office, Monday-Thursday 8:30am-8pm, Friday 8:30am-4 pm and Sunday 10am-2pm (office closed Sundays for July & August). Children under 5 are free. Guests of members must be accompanied by the member when using the facility upon payment of $10 per day. Suffolk County residents can come as a guest only one time in six months. Saturday guest passes must be pre-purchased during the week.

Membership Cards

Membership cards are not transferable. Failure to abide by this rule will result in forfeiture of membership privileges. Members (over age 6) are provided with membership cards which MUST BE CARRIED AT ALL TIMES. Cards must be scanned upon entering the building and your entering the Fitness and Sports wing. In case of loss, there will be a charge of $10 for a replacement card. Members must abide by the rules and regulations of the Suffolk Y JCC.
