Aviators - Grades 6-8 Join the Hobby Quest to learn how to build and fly real model airplanes and to explore the world of aviation. During the course you will build and take home 3-4 different airplanes. Aviators will go outside to see your gliders in motion and to fly your models. During the course you will also learn to read plans, use metric rulers, make necessary calculations and work with different tools.  Babysitting Training Course - Grades 6 to 9 This 4 hour course will teach you the basics of babysitting. Upon completion of the course, your name will be added to the JCC’s babysitter list.
.  Guitar - Grades 6 to 10 If you always wanted to know how to play guitar, then check out this class. This class is for the beginner. Learn basic chords and a few songs. Participants need to bring their own guitar.  HAMSA - Heroes Are Made Through Service and Action HAMSA is a partnership of the Suffolk Y JCC, the French Hill Matnas in Jerusalem, Beit Safafa Community Center in Jerusalem and the Islamic Center of Long Island, in consultation with the Israel Association of Community Centers and the Jerusalem Community Center Organization. HAMSA is a program that will bring graduating high school seniors and college age students from American and Israeli, Jewish and Muslim backgrounds together in the spirit of goodwill to participate in a series of educational classes, as well as a trip to Israel to complete a community service project together. The main goal of the HAMSA project will be to empower young people to promote change in the world through grassroots, community service and learning. Twenty students, 10 Jewish and 10 Muslim, 10 American and 10 Israeli will learn the importance of Tikkun Olam - Repairing the World through cross cultural collaboration, community service and civic awareness. Additionally, the program seeks to cultivate world citizens who are concerned for the welfare of other despite perceived differences. HAMSA will also foster an atmosphere of humanity, where the participants can look past labels and see themselves in others.

We have the answer, Mac Attack is a program for 7th and 8th graders that combines leadership training and community service in a fun and social atmosphere. Earn 18 hours of community service, make a difference in the community, great leadership training, meet Jewish teens from all over Suffolk County. Most meetings an events are on Sundays.  On Centerstage Teen Show - Grades 7 and up Auditions: Sunday, October 3rd at 5pm. Must have 16 measure of a Broadway song and bring dance shoes.
Show dates will be Feb. 12th & 13th.  Regents Review Courses Stressing over your upcoming Regents exam? Stress no more! The JCC offers one day review classes for Januayr Regents Exams.  Seeds of Change: A program of the Suffolk Y JCC The objectives of this program are threefold: Grades 10-12
a) to immerse teens of diverse backgrounds in a meaningful cross cultural dialogue facilitated by experts in various fields.
b) to design and launch four to five events during the course of the year related to any of the following topics: health, homelessness, hunger, national or international relations, environment or a topic of the groups choosing that is not listed.
c) to engage people young and old in social activism and civic engagement.

 T.A.S.C. Teen Action Service Corps TASC is an award winning Jewish teen leadership program for grades 9–12. The program combines volunteer service with leadership training. Every teenager accepted into the TASC program will receive a volunteer placement for the year. Volunteer placements include Kidsplace after-school program, Emunah, the JCC’s special needs after-school program, gym and theater programs and the Gurwin Geriatric Center. Monthly meeting provide the TASC members with valuable leadership training and an opportunity to talk about Jewish events, multi-cultural issues and celebrate Jewish holidays.

 Teen Lounge - Grades 9-12 The Suffolk Y's Teen Lounge is ready for another great year! Lounge includes open gym time, a drop down big screen TV with cable, ping pong, air hockey, fooseball. TV's for X-Box and Wii and much more are waiting for you! Bring your friends or come down and make new ones. Why go anywhere else?
Meets two Saturday nights per month. Oct. 16th & Oct. 30th - Nov. 13th - Dec. 4th & Dec. 18th Jan. 15th & Jan. 29th  Tween Lounge - Grades 6 to 8 To meet the changing needs of this growing age group here at the JCC, a Tween Program for children currently in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades is offered. Make a Saturday night a month special. Join us at our lounge and gym program. The program consists of open gym time, a drop down big screen TV with cable, ping pong, fooseball and air hockey tables, as well as X-Box and Playstation 2, and much more are waiting for you!. If you want to hang out and have a great time doing it, this is the place to be.

Unity in the Community Service for Teens The Suffolk Y JCC, in partnership with the Huntington YMCA, the Great South Bay YMCA and the Islamic Center of Long Island have organized its annual Unity in the Community - A day of community service for teens. Teens from various youth organizations across Long Island join together in the spirit of fellowship to better the community through projects such as: restoring parks, visiting hospitalized children, working at shelters and soup kitchens, painting schools and planting gardens at a Habitat for Humanity project house. A core group of 32 teens from the partnering agencies meet monthly starting in October to plan the day.
